From September 21 to 28, the 16th annual edition of Climate Week was held in New York. Organized on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, this event aims to strengthen collective momentum toward a lower carbon economy and greater resilience by mobilizing governments, multilateral organizations, business leaders, and civil society actors.
Innovation and collaboration were at the heart of the discussions this week. Indeed, for L’Oréal, it was an opportunity to actively engage with various stakeholders on the necessity of developing cross-sector partnerships in order to scale sustainable solutions.
Through targeted events, from a panel co-hosted by L’Oréal at Goals House, to a fireside chat at Nest Climate Campus, and conversations with different stakeholders throughout the week, the Group was able to highlight L’ACCELERATOR’s program and value proposition, in parallel to the last days of its call for applications, which closed on September 30th.
L’Oréal has partnered with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) to review and evaluate applications mobilizing a wide range of external and internal experts. CISL will provide pivotal support to selected applicants through an up to 12-month cohort-based program, facilitating pilot projects and scaling innovative solutions within the L’Oréal ecosystem.
Stay tuned for the first cohort announcement!
