PulPac, based in Sweden, was founded in 2018 by Linus Larsson Green, an expert in packaging innovation and sustainability, and his father, Ove Larsson, an inventor and entrepreneur.

PulPac began through an intrapreneurship initiative where Linus and Ove looked to find an alternative to single-use plastics. They experimented with pressing plant-based fibers from a baby diaper using a simple workshop press, which led to the breakthrough: Dry Molded Fiber (DMF), a now patented technology that forms cellulose without the water-heavy, energy-intensive steps typical of conventional processes. This innovation inspired their mission to replace single-use plastics with scalable, more cost-effective fiber-based packaging solutions that reduce environmental impact.

PulPac’s DMF technology revolutionises sustainable packaging by eliminating the water-intensive steps that have held back fiber-based alternatives.

Traditionally, fiber-based alternatives to single-use plastics are made via a moulding process that requires large amounts of water and long drying process, making them slow and more expensive. Instead, PulPac’s DMF technology uses a dry fiber web and moulds plant-based fibers (from renewable sources like wood pulp) without water. This enables cycle times as fast as 3.5 seconds, reducing both water and energy consumption while maximising output and minimising environmental impact.

Dry Molded Fiber is a manufacturing technology which enables the production of rigid fiber-based items such as lids, trays, bottles, and other everyday applications, while reducing water and energy use and lowering CO₂ emissions by up to 80% compared to plastic. At the same time, it delivers high precision, premium design features, and significantly lower production costs than traditional fiber-forming methods.

PulPac’s also supports global adoption of the innovation by connecting brands to a global network of top-tier machine suppliers, packaging converters, and material partners – all through its licensing model.DMF’s premium aesthetics and tactile feel make it ideal for cosmetics and personal care, offering a luxury, sustainable alternative to plastic packaging.

PulPac Co-Founder Linus Larsson Green said, “L’AcceleratOR brings together brands that are ready to turn ambition into action. Beauty is a category where design precision, colour, shape, and tactility truly matter - and where Dry Molded Fiber offers clear advantages. This program gives PulPac the opportunity to explore new applications and show how our technology can deliver both sustainability and premium design across the beauty industry.”
