BIOSYNTHIS specialised in bio-based oleochemicals derived from renewable vegetable oils/fats - including biodegradable emollients, thickeners, polymers and innovative technological aids such as "biodegradable micro-capsules". Designed through a rigorous Eco-responsible chemistry approach, its products help cosmetics formulators to develop sustainable beauty products with technological and environmental benefits.
With its "Coconut Alkanes" concept in 2009, BIOSYNTHIS pioneered bio-alkanes - a new type of natural-like ingredients made from vegetable oils, offering same properties of traditional mineral oils/paraffins and mainly to replace silicones.
BIOSYNTHIS’ flagship bio-alkane, Vegelight, is a unique, renewable "Hydrogen" (in house) and a biodegradable new line ingredient that acts as a lightweight oil, dispersant, carrier, delivering high performances from renewable and responsible sources.
BIOSYNTHIS's process breaks the rules of the traditional "petro-industry" with low impact ingredients that are biodegradable and renewable, enabling ingredients sourced from nature to be used in the beauty industry without any compromise on performances.
