Upheat Solutions, based in Tampere, Finland, was founded by a team of industry-seasoned entrepreneurs boasting decades of expertise in high-speed compressor technologies, including Timo Pulkki, Olli Kuismanen, Toni Pennanen, Juha Saari, and Juha Lammi.
The founders repeatedly encountered the same critical challenge across manufacturing facilities: while companies were eager to cut energy consumption there were no practical or profitable solutions for temperatures above 100°C, leaving vast amounts of usable waste heat to simply escape into the atmosphere. Recognizing an opportunity, they united to build Upheat with a mission to make industrial heat recovery both practical and profitable at scale.
Upheat has developed a breakthrough generation of industrial high-temperature heat pumps that turn wasted heat into valuable process heat and steam (100–200°C). What makes Upheat unique is its proprietary, oil-free high-speed compressor technology.
By capturing waste heat and transforming it into usable steam, Upheat enables industrial sites to reduce energy consumption, lower energy costs and for companies not yet using renewable energy to cut fossil fuel consumption by up to 75% and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions.
