HCpect (Qingdao Huicheng Environmental Technology Group), based in Qingdao, China, is a pioneer in industrial-scale chemical recycling and environmental technology.
Founded in 2006 by Professor Zhang Xingong—a former Sinopec engineer and part of the National Ten Thousand Talents Program—HCpect was born from a commitment to sustainable innovation . Recognizing major environmental blind spots in traditional refining and waste management, Professor Zhang developed a 200,000 ton per year plastic waste chemical recycling plant.
HCpect’s core technology is CPDCC (Circular Plastic Deep Catalytic Cracking), a proprietary technology designed to chemically recycle low-value, hard-to-recycle mixed waste plastics, such as flexible composite packaging. Unlike traditional thermal cracking or pyrolysis, CPDCC achieves higher product yields and purity through a shorter, cleaner process chain.
The result is the supply of high-quality, fully traceable, chemically recycled polyolefins (rPP and rPE) with a performance equivalent to virgin materials at a significantly lower carbon footprint. This technology offers a new source of high-performance recycled plastic to foster the circular economy.
